Presbyterian Border Ministry of Agua Prieta
Led by Rev. Mark Adams
Pastor Mark will update us on social, economic, and political issues at the U.S./Mexico border via Skype. He will challenge us to think about our discipleship in light of our interconnectedness with our brothers and sisters in Mexico.
Journey with Scripture
April’s readings span Lent and Easter. They can bring to mind the poem “Rescurrection,” by Mary Ann Bernard. A few verses below:
Long before this winter’s snow
I ran from pain, looked high and low
For some fast way to get around
Its hurt and cold. I’d have found,
If I had looked at what was there,
THat things don’t follow fast or fair.
…A flower comes. It groans, yet sings,
And through its pain, its peace begins.
Join us as we reflect on these readings: Acts 2:14a, 22-32; Psalm 16; 1 Peter 1:3-9; John 20:19-31.
Parenting Circle
We use our time together to share our joys and struggles through a facilitated discussion, guided by the week’s lectionary readings. No advance preparation or reading is necessary and copies of the texts being discussed will be available. We welcome babies and toddlers who may not yet be able to leave their parents.
