Journey With Scripture (Second Floor Library)
At the edge of entering the promised land the people of Israel recognize that “it is the Lord our God who brought us and our ancestors…out of the house of slavery.” November’s scripture readings also stand at an edge. They recall the Exodus experience and tell of Christ’s coming–companion stories in the grand arc of promise and fulfillment. Together, they illuminate the courage and work required to recognize and receive the grace of God’s reign.
Come join us on the journey through reading and reflection, this week on Joshua 24:1-3, 14-25; Psalm 78:1-7; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Matthew 25:1-13.
