Worship Services
Journey Worship | Sunday, at 8:45 am
An interactive, energetic service for those seeking a fresh encounter with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our theme this month is Tolerance. Pastor Patrice will preach from Matthew 22:34–46.
Sanctuary Worship | Sunday, at 11 am
Our largest service, with music from the Chancel Choir and an organ prelude prior to the service. Pastor Randy will preach from Ephesians 2:1–10 and his sermon will be titled “Semper Reformanda” (Always Reforming).
Taizé Prayer Service | Wednesday, at 7 pm
Led by the Rev. Mary Lynn Callahan, our hour-long Taizé service includes sung prayers; simple, beautiful music; a time of silence; spoken and silent prayers; and an opportunity for individual prayer and anointing. Stay afterward for Contemplative Prayer. If you’re unable to participate in person, join our live stream on your computer or mobile device.
Christian Education Classes
We offer Christian Education classes for persons of all ages, from infancy through adulthood, on Sundays from 9:45–10:45 am. Click the links for adult class descriptions and children and youth offerings.

The Theology of Martin Luther
We will mark the 500th anniversary of the promulgation of Martin Luther’s 95 Theses with an overview of his theology, led by the Rev. Natalie L.G. Hall. The Rev. Hall is an ordained Lutheran (ELCA) pastor, currently serving as canon for evangelism and faith formation for the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh.
Journey With Scripture | Second Floor Library
“Mighty King, lover of justice, you have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob”—Psalm 99:4. Join us as we seek to understand God’s love of justice and equity: through the journey of the Israelites in the wilderness, psalms of praise and confession, parables of Jesus, and the apostle Paul’s encouragement to new followers in Christ.
This week, our readings are: Deuteronomy 34:1–12; Psalm 90:1–17; 1 Thessalonians 2:1–8; and Matthew 22:34–46.

Martin Luther and His Theses Part 1 of 3
Five hundred years ago, on Oct. 31, 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses on the door of Wittenberg Cathedral. This is regarded as the birth of the Reformation. How did this one act of defiant exasperation 500 years ago so drastically alter relations among Christians and understanding of the mysteries of faith?
Dr. Peter Gilmore, a university history lecturer and elder at Sixth Presbyterian, will tell us how the Reformation led to a fundamental division within the Western Church.
