Presbyterian Women Bible Study

It is said that Emmaus is where we go to escape. Imagine the despair and confusion of the two disciples walking to Emmaus three days after Jesus’ crucifixion. They had hoped that Jesus of Nazareth was the one to redeem Israel. Moreover, that Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene and the other women reported that Jesus had risen from the grave.
As the disciples walked to Emmaus, a stranger joined them. The disciples did not recognize Jesus until they shared a meal with this stranger! The risen Christ may come to us in unfamiliar guises, when we least expect him.
Join us for our lesson, Finding Our Identity in Christ: When You Are Walking with Jesus – The Road to Emmaus, on Monday, May 4, 7–8:30 pm (online only), or Tuesday, May 12, 10 am–12 pm (in-person only). Tuesday morning Bible Study will meet in-person only in the Fellowship Room, and will be followed by a potluck lunch. Please bring a dish to share; beverages will be provided.
