SUZUKI PRE-TWINKLE PROGRAM
To find out more about our Suzuki Pre-Twinkle music program for 4 to 7 year olds (violin, cello, flute or guitar) come to an information session on SAT August 24 @ 2 pm, TUE September 3 @ 5:30 pm or THU September 5 @ 5:30 pm. RSVP for one of these sessions by filling out a Suzuki Pre-Twinkle Info Session RSVP form. Families will be able to apply for Pre-Twinkle scholarships up to September 6 – so they have an opportunity to attend an information session before applying.
There will be a Suzuki Pre-Twinkle Instrument and Teaching Artist Match Session on SAT Sept 7 at 1 pm, where students (with the help of their grownups) will select and be sized for their instrument (violin, cello, flute or guitar). Teaching artists will have their schedules available so that a private lesson day and time can be arranged. The weekly private lesson is in addition to the weekly group class. It is important that families attend a Pre-Twinkle Info Session before the Match Session.
Generous scholarships are available thanks to the generosity of the Mac Miller Fund, through The Pittsburgh Foundation. Violins and cellos are available through Chamber Music Pittsburgh’s instrument lending library. We are grateful for their support to help make music education affordable, accessible and not a matter of privilege for young people in our community.
REGISTRATION FOR DANCE AND THEATER CLASSES
Returning families (from 2018–2019) will be sent a link to go onto our new registration platform to set up a family account in the parent portal.
Once their account is set up, returning families will be able to enroll their children in classes, music ensembles and the Suzuki program.
Half of the spots in our dance and theater classes will be reserved for scholarship students.
After scholarships are awarded the remaining spots in classes will be opened up to those on the wait list and then to new families.
REGISTRATION AND SCHEDULING FOR PRIVATE LESSONS AND SUZUKI MUSIC
We will begin scheduling private lessons on THU Aug 15.
Scholarship and returning students will be placed first.
As we place private lesson students with teaching artists, and arrange a day and time for lessons (based on the information we receive in the Inquiry for Private Lessons form), we will add the private lesson to the student’s account.
Once the private lesson has been added to the account, the family will have 10 days to pay for the term. If payment is not received, the lesson day and time will be offered to another student.
