The Peace and Global Witness Offering (P&GWO) encourages the people of God to cast off anxiety, fear, discord, and division, and embrace God’s mission of reconciliation to those around us and the world. Every year on World Communion Sunday, ELPC joins congregations across the globe to celebrate the sacrament of The Lord’s Supper and joins Presbyterian churches to receive the P&GWO.
The proceeds from the P&GW offering empower and encourage individuals and congregations to be peacemakers in the world. This year, the Mission Board voted to donate 25% of the locally maintained offering to the Center That Cares. CARES’ mission is to create a network of internal and external opportunities to prepare each child and young adult to achieve their life plans and goals in a safe, dependable, nurturing environment. So, please give generously on World Communion Sunday, October 6, when ELPC will receive this special and impactful offering.
