Holy Week and Easter Services
It is always a joy to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with strongly attended worship services on Easter morning. Our worship services and fellowship time are excellent opportunities to invite our friends and neighbors to find a church home with us at ELPC as we celebrate Easter together. Yet, keep in mind that the good news of Easter is made even more relevant when we couple the empty tomb stories with the passion stories of the Last Supper, Jesus’ arrest in Gethsemane, trial and crucifixion anguish.
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, March 24, and we invite you to recall the darkness and light of this church season. Consider worshiping with our faith family and experience all the richness of the Holy Week and Easter faith stories.
On Wednesday, March 27, 7 pm, we will gather together for a special Stations of the Cross Taizé prayer service. Worship with us on Maundy Thursday, March 28, 7 pm, and recall the night of Christ’s Last Supper with his disciples. On Good Friday, March 29, please join us as we reflect on Jesus’ day of crucifixion and burial in the tomb.
We will offer an Easter Vigil on Saturday, March 30, 7 pm.
The season of Lent will conclude on Easter Sunday, March 31, as we celebrate the good news of Christ’s resurrection with Journey worship at 8:45 am, and Sanctuary worship at 11 am.
