Sunday Services at ELPC
Different styles of worship services reflect the diversity of our faith community.
We are pleased to offer a wide range of worship opportunities. To see who will be speaking this Sunday at your favorite service, and to view our Church School class topics, or special events like receptions or programs after the worship services, sign up to receive our weekly email news flash.
We also offer a weekly Taizé sung prayer service on Wednesdays, seasonal worship opportunities, and a summer worship schedule. From September through mid-June, we also offer Christian Education Church School classes (Sunday School) for all ages, 9:45–10:45 am. Childcare is available Sunday mornings from September through June from 8:30 am–12:30 pm (9:45–11:15 am, during summer.)

Sanctuary Worship
Sundays, 11 am | September to mid-June
This service is held in the Sanctuary on the first floor and livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook, with an organ prelude before the service. We extend a warm welcome our Latino friends and include several prayers in our service bulletin in English and Spanish. Let us know if you would like a translator. This is ELPC’s largest service, offering a traditional worship service with thought-provoking sermons, and the music of our Chancel Choir and organ to reinforce the spirit of praise and reverence. Like many of the great cathedrals of Europe, the compelling power and beauty of our historic, gothic-style Sanctuary enhances the spiritual experience. Children are invited to the chancel steps to hear their own message with one of the pastors. The service is led by ELPC’s senior pastor or other members of the pastoral staff. Special guest pastors or speakers periodically lead the service. You can read or listen to the sermons from the Sanctuary worship service here.
Journey Worship
Sundays, 8:45 am | September to mid-June
This service is held in the Social Hall and is available online via Zoom. Join us for a lively service of spirit, hope, and praise in which we encounter God’s word in a fresh, compelling way. The blending of contemporary music, Gospel songs and hymns, introspective worship and interactive communal praise helps to reflect the diverse, creative spirit that is at the heart of ELPC. The service is led by ELPC’s pastoral staff.
Summer Worship
Sundays, 10 am | Mid-June to early-September
In the summer months, ELPC changes to its summer worship schedule. The Journey service at 8:45 am, and the Sanctuary service at 11 am, are combined into one summer worship service that starts at 10 am, in the Sanctuary. The Chancel Choir or Journey Praise Team continue to provide music leadership.
Later in summer—weather permitting—this service is held in the Courtyard. Indoor seating is available in the Garth Overlook Room, with live projection of the service. No matter your vacation or travel plans this summer, be sure to join us as often as you can at these earlier, lively, and engaging summer worship services!
